British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Ukraine to formalize a new century-long partnership aimed at enhancing security relations, according to a statement released by the prime minister’s office on Thursday.
This partnership is anticipated to strengthen military cooperation in maritime security and establish the United Kingdom as a key ally in Ukraine’s energy sector, critical minerals strategy, and green steel production, among other areas, the office noted.
The treaty and accompanying political declaration will be submitted to the British Parliament in the upcoming weeks.
